A mormyshka is a miniature lure that combines the functions of a sinker and a hook. It is the primary lure for ice fishing and is also used in summer for delicate boat fishing or when using a lateral nod rod
Most of our mormyshkas are made of tungsten. Tungsten has a high density, which allows the lure to be smaller in size while remaining heavy, ensuring rapid sinking to greater depths.
We offer various shapes: Shot (classic round ball), Teardrop, Banana, and specialized models such as the Ant and Devil. Each shape creates a unique action to attract fish.
The diameter (from 2.5 mm to 7.1 mm) and weight (up to 0.5 g or 1 g) determine the sinking speed and sensitivity. The smaller and lighter the mormyshka, the more delicate the tackle must be, allowing you to catch more cautious fish.
It depends on the fishing style. Classic models are often used with bait (bloodworms, maggots). Baitless models are used without live bait but may feature beads or colorful tubing on the hook to attract attention.
